Is Your Sight Your Enemy?

Is your sight your physical enemy?
“ Our sight is a gift from God, but sometimes these gifts that God has given us sometimes become a hindrance to us if we rely to much on them.” // Autumn Miles
To many times in our lives we allow ourselves to see the barriers and we allow them to disable our purposes.
We can not walk by sight, we must walk by faith, and faith alone.
We can not focus on what we see, we must focus on what God is telling us.
One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.
Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. – Acts 3:1-10
They fixed their gaze on Him. These two guys, who walked with Jesus. They told the man to look at them, and the man began to give his attention to them.
At times God calls us to give our attention to him and his will for our lives, and we allow our fear and distraction of practical things take our eyes off of Him.
“Faith is Never Practical” // Autumn Miles
There may be times where God will call you to do something that doesn’t seem practical, and people will laugh at us for it.
Is your sight your enemy today?
No matter what may come against you, what God has spoken to you, you must trust.
This guy was so focused on his temporary need. He did not think about what he could receive from someone like Peter and John. Walk by faith. God is faithful.
God will not lead you down the wrong path. Trust when He speaks, and walk.
