GOD KNOWS EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE

God knows EXACTLY where to find you; He knows EXACTLY where YOU are. He knows His plans for YOU!!! You are not hidden from Him, not even a little bit. He knows where you are; you’re NOT HIDDEN and He knows when to elevate you!!!

~1 Kings 19~

*The prophet, Elijah, had just been on Mount Caramel. Such an incredible VICTORY happened for the Lord. He basically killed all the evil prophets; it was absolutely crazy. But, he got scared, and he ran because he was scared of Jezebel and Ahab. He goes to this place and God provides for him there. It’s a really awesome story; I encourage you to go read it for yourself in 1 Kings 19. He wants to speak to the Lord, and the Lord speaks to him. *

10 He replied, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.”

11 The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.”

Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12 After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. 13 When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.

Then a voice said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

14 He replied, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.”

15 The Lord said to him, “Go back the way you came, and go to the Desert of Damascus. When you get there, anoint Hazael king over Aram. 16 Also, anoint Jehu son of Nimshi king over Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from Abel Meholah to succeed you as prophet.

God has a little bit more dialogue with Elijah, and when God is done, this is what Elijah did:

19 So Elijah went from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat. He was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen, and he himself was driving the twelfth pair. Elijah went up to him and threw his cloak around him.

*Elisha became prophet in Elijah’s place. *

When God was done speaking, Elijah left and found Elisha. He FOUND him. The prophet of God FOUND Elisha. He had to find him. The Lord had already said, “This is my guy; I know I’m going to anoint him in your place; he is going to take your place. You’ve gotta go find him.” And he did. God found Elisha through Elijah.

God knows EXACTLY WHERE to find you and EXACTLY WHEN to elevate you!!! You are NOT hidden from Him!!! You may think that you are; you may think that you’re passed over. You may think that you have been faithful and God has just forgotten about you. I am telling you with 100% ACCURACY HE HAS NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU!!!! He knows where to FIND YOU. Your faithfulness is not in vain; your strive is not in vain. He KNOWS the PLANS that He has for YOUR FUTURE!!!

For those today that are feeling passed over, overlooked, or passed by: “someone else got the promotion // someone else is starting the ministry // someone else is getting pregnant // someone else is getting engaged // someone else is getting to travel the world // someone else is getting the book deal // someone else is…”

No, no, no!!!! That might be true, but who is to say that God doesn’t have those same significant plans for you? He knows where to find you // He knows when to elevate you!! Your Elijah may be looking for you TODAY! It takes ONE ACT OF GOD to CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!

So I want you to shift your mindset to:

“God knows WHERE I AM. God knows WHEN TO ELEVATE ME in the PERFECT TIME.” Elisha wasn’t elevated until Elijah was done. Sometimes some people’s reign, their anointing, has to end, their season has to end, for you to be elevated. You think that God has forgotten about you, but really He is just waiting for the PERFECT TIME to put you in a position of leadership or of promotion or of MINISTRY or of whatever it is.

HE KNOWS WHERE YOU ARE. HE HAS NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU!!!!!

Hang tight, because I believe that for some of you, your Elijah is looking for YOU. And when he finds you, everything is going to change.

Feeling Outnumbered or Alone

This is for you out there who feel OUTNUMBERED. Do you feel like what’s against you is greater than you? Do you feel like what you’re facing is DEFEAT? Do you feel outnumbered by your circumstances? Do you feel like it’s INEVITABLE; divorce is going to happen? Do you feel like you’re standing ALONE when you are with your family? Do you feel like your family is against you? Do you feel like this at CHURCH? You’re wanting to lead the church one way, but they aren’t feeling it. You feel outnumbered, but you know that you know that you know that you are doing EXACTLY what God has given for you!! When the scales are balanced in the natural, the other side is winning.

I’ve just gone through a season of feeling that way. I felt alone, EVEN THOUGH I WASN’T. I felt outnumbered. Although I knew I was doing exactly what God was asking of me, I felt outnumbered.

In those times when you are facing utter and total DEFEAT, and even OBLITERATION, complete EMBARRASSMENT, and HUMILIATION (which happens in the life of faith), go to this passage in 2 Kings. This is about Elisha: he was telling the king of Israel things that the king of Aram was saying behind closed doors. God gave Elisha the incredible gift of prophesying to the king of Israel things that the king of Aram was saying!!! This made the king of Aram very angry; he sent an entire group of chariots and horses to shut him up; Elisha was surrounded.

2 Kings 6:8-20

Now the king of Aram was at war with Israel. After conferring with his officers, he said, “I will set up my camp in such and such a place.”

The man of God sent word to the king of Israel: “Beware of passing that place, because the Arameans are going down there.” 10 So the king of Israel checked on the place indicated by the man of God. Time and again Elisha warned the king, so that he was on his guard in such places.

11 This enraged the king of Aram. He summoned his officers and demanded of them, “Tell me! Which of us is on the side of the king of Israel?”

12 “None of us, my lord the king,” said one of his officers, “but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.”

13 “Go, find out where he is,” the king ordered, “so I can send men and capture him.” The report came back: “He is in Dothan.” 14 Then he sent horses and chariots and a strong force there. They went by night and surrounded the city.

15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.

16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

18 As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, “Strike this army with blindness.” So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.

19 Elisha told them, “This is not the road and this is not the city. Follow me, and I will lead you to the man you are looking for.” And he led them to Samaria.

20 After they entered the city, Elisha said, “Lord, open the eyes of these men so they can see.” Then the Lord opened their eyes and they looked, and there they were, inside Samaria.

Circled by defeat!! Do you feel circled by defeat today? Elisha CONFIDENTLY trusted in the promises of the Lord’s presence and provision!!! If you are walking in the POWER, STRENGTH, and SURENESS of the Lord, you are not ever outnumbered, even if you stand alone!!!!!!!!

2 Chronicles 32:7-8

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said.

Don’t fear. You may seem outnumbered, but you are not!!!!!! He who is walking with us is GREATER than what is against us!!!!!! I hope this encourages you today. Love you guys.

TO THE WEARY, TIRED SOUL TODAY

This is for you who feel like you are spent. You are literally physically exhausted and mentally exhausted. You are tired. Maybe you have a lot of demands on you. I pray that it encourages you.

John 15:1-7

1“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”

STRIVING WILL GET YOU EXHAUSTED; ABIDING WILL GET YOU REFRESHED. We would never look at a branch on the ground and say, “Produce fruit.” We would never look a branch on the ground and tell it to get up and produce a blossom or an apple. However, a lot of us are branches that are detached from the VINE, and we are expecting ourselves or other people to produce fruit from a DETACHED BRANCH!! Unless you, as the branch, deliberately CONNECT YOURSELF to the TRUE VINE OF THE LORD, you will be powerless!!!!! You will not produce what you are wanting to produce. I see so many people STRIVING: “I have to be successful. I have to make this much money. I have to make people happy. I have to make sure my children look a certain way. I have to make sure that I achieve those grades at school.” We are running around utterly mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally exhausted. It is because if Satan can get us focused on a goal rather than FOCUSED ON GOD, then he literally can detach us from the source of strength that is derived only from the Vine!!!!!

My question for you today is: are you a detached branch? If you are exhausted, if you find yourself striving but with no result and no fruit, or if you are burnt out, you are probably DETACHED from the source of nutrients which is the VINE OF THE LORD. The Vine can fuel that thing that you are striving towards, but you just haven’t chosen to INVITE HIS POWER INTO YOUR CIRCUMSTANCE. Detached branches don’t bear fruit! They shrivel up and they die!! I wonder if you need to attach your branch back to the Vine of the Lord that has all the nutrients that you need; He has all the resources that you need; HE HAS ALL THE STRENGTH THAT YOU NEED!!!! How do you do that? Get in God’s Word. Turn on worship music. Let the TRUTH OF THE LORD penetrate your mind, heart, and soul!! Feed your spirit. You are probably exhausted because you have not been fed by the Word of God and YOU NEED IT.

I love you so much and I hope that this encourages you today on your path toward whatever it is that you are striving and fighting for. The strength is not found in you as the branch. It is found in the nutrients and the power of the TRUE VINE!!! The Vine can produce through you some things that you could never produce yourself.

I love you. I hope this encourages you today.
