THERE IS A PLACE OF SAFETY FOR YOU IN THE REFUGE OF THE LORD

Whatever you’re going through, there is SAFETY in the refuge of the Lord. YOU have a place of refuge, and it’s the Lord.

Psalm 57:1

1Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious and merciful to me,
For my soul finds shelter and safety in You,
And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge and be confidently secure
Until destruction passes by.”

This psalm was written when David was running from King Saul who was trying to kill him. He was running from Saul and was hiding in a cave; that is when David wrote this psalm.

I want to talk to the one out there today who has DESTRUCTION coming against you. I want you to look at the Lord as a CAVE, something you can go in and hide from destruction. Maybe there is a raging storm in your life that represents a major trial and you are getting battered by the wind and by the lightening – go into that cave and SEEK REFUGE TODAY IN THE LORD!!!! That’s what David did when Saul was seeking his life.

God IS a place of refuge for us; He tells us that multiple times throughout Scripture!!!! Even when it feels like you don’t have anyone and even when it looks hopeless for you, there is a place of refuge for YOU!!!! The Lord is a refuge from what is coming against you. His name is Jesus. HE IS YOUR REFUGE!!!!!

There have been times in my life where it seems as if I had no allies, but the Lord was (and always is) my place of refuge until destruction passes by. Make Him your place of refuge, of safety, of security, your CAVE OF COMFORT, until whatever it is coming against you moves past you.

I love you guys; I hope this encourages you today!

Created for a purpose!

Do you often feel like you cannot achieve What God is asking you to do?
Did you know that God literally created you with your purpose in mind? He pieced your DNA together in such a way that it would not hinder your calling at all, but rather help you achieve it.
Whatever God is asking you to do, you are gifted and created to do it, Just the way you are.
What is your hesitation today?
Do you feel that you are not smart enough, good enough, you do not have the skill for it? WHAT?
 Exodus 31: 1-11 says,
Then the Lord said to Moses,  “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,  and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.  Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you: the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law with the atonement cover on it, and all the other furnishings of the tent—  the table and its articles, the pure gold lampstand and all its accessories, the altar of incense,  the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, the basin with its stand—  and also the woven garments, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests,  and the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them just as I commanded you.”
God gave Moses a serious calling. To build the temple. With the call Moses had in front of him- there was an answer! These men who have been appointed and gifted specially for this, Bezalel, and Oholiab.

and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills “

Filled with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and the skills needed to build the temple. God equipped these men completely to fulfill their calling.

This tells us that God has put HIS spirit in US to equip us for our purpose!! HE has given you the wisdom and the knowledge to do whatever He may be calling us to!!

What is God asking you to do?
He may be asking you to step out in faith and do something, but He has given you the ability and the tools needed to do it!
Do not say you can’t do what God is asking of you, because you were created for it!

Point A to Point B

How often do we feel that God has given us a vision or calling but we do not feel equipped for it? Or we do not know where to begin? “I have this vision but I have no clue how to get from point A to point B”

The tools you need to accomplish whatever you are facing, are in you and are around you.

YOU have the tools via the Holy spirit, to work towards the vision God has given you! You have exactly what you need to start walking towards that dream.

Exodus 4: 1-17 says this,

Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you’?” Then the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?”

“A staff,” he replied.

The Lord said, “Throw it on the ground.”

Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it. Then the Lord said to him, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail.” So Moses reached out and took hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand.  “This,” said the Lord, “is so that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has appeared to you.”

Then the Lord said, “Put your hand inside your cloak.” So Moses put his hand into his cloak, and when he took it out, the skin was leprous[a]—it had become as white as snow.

“Now put it back into your cloak,” he said. So Moses put his hand back into his cloak, and when he took it out, it was restored, like the rest of his flesh.

Then the Lord said, “If they do not believe you or pay attention to the first sign, they may believe the second.  But if they do not believe these two signs or listen to you, take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground. The water you take from the river will become blood on the ground.”

Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”

The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord?   Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”

But Moses said, “Pardon your servant, Lord. Please send someone else.”

Then the Lord’s anger burned against Moses and he said, “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and he will be glad to see you. You shall speak to him and put words in his mouth; I will help both of you speak and will teach you what to do. He will speak to the people for you, and it will be as if he were your mouth and as if you were God to him.  But take this staff in your hand so you can perform the signs with it.”

A Staff. A simple wood staff that helps you walk. That staff became a tool that was a BIG way for God to prove His power. He used Moses hand, He used water for the Nile. Simple things to prove how great He is. The tools needed to do his task at hand, were provided!

Just like this, God will provided what you need to accomplish your callings. Through tools that are in you, around you through connections, and the Bible.

The tools you need are RIGHT around you.

Moses used a staff, what do you need?
