Attach Your Little to God’s Much

Factor God into your “little,” don’t factor Him out of it!

I have a little bit of talent in an area, a little bit of favor in that area, and I take that little bit that God gives me and expect that He will add His much to my little. It’s amazing to see what God does with my “little!”

I feel like sometimes we get into this idea that we factor God out of the little.

John 6:9-13

9“Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?”

10 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down (about five thousand men were there). 11 Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.

12 When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” 13 So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.

The little boy only had five loaves and two fish, but he factored God’s much into his little and it fed over 5,000 people.

Maybe you do have a little. Maybe you have little finances, little talents, or little hope. You have a little “Yes.” I want you to factor God into your little, because when you couple your “little” with His “much,” it achieves miracles like the boy with the five loaves and two fish.

I get really frustrated when I talk to people, especially believers, and they say, “I only have this much. I only have this amount. I only have this opportunity.” It’s almost like Satan has blinded them to see the abundance that we actually have in the Lord.

I want you to take your “little” just like that boy with the five loaves and two fish, and I want you to surrender it! Study that passage of Scripture and see how his giving God his little and attaching it to God’s “much” achieved a miracle. He didn’t hoard. He didn’t say, “It’s too little.” He said, “If you can do something with it, take it. Take my “little” and attach it to your “much;” I’ll watch what only You can do.”

God, I only have a little, but I know You have much. I am going to attach my “little” to Your “much,” and I am going to believe by faith that You are going to multiply it!

GET TO KNOW NATALIE!

We want you to meet our beloved Director of Missions here on the Autumn Miles’ Ministries team!

Q: How did you come on the team?

A: I first was introduced to Autumn when she came and spoke in one of my women’s ministry classes at Liberty University. I witnessed her passion for Jesus and her heart for others. At the end of class, she announced that they were offering interviews for internships. To be honest, I didn’t think twice about it and went off to my next class. While I was sitting in the following class, God was tugging at my heart to go sign up for an interview and apply for this internship opportunity. I didn’t understand it and never pictured myself in ministry, but I went back and interviewed! I have had the honor and privilege of serving with this ministry for five years now and have had the privilege of witnessing God change lives.

Q: What do you hope people would see through the ministry?

A: My hope for those who come across Autumn Miles Ministries is for them to know Jesus. The best way I can put it is through my own personal experience with this ministry as God used this ministry in my life first! The team made me feel loved, welcomed me as I was and was willing/ still are pouring into me. They show me grace daily as I make mistakes and am nowhere near perfect. They have encouraged and challenged me, pushing me closer to Jesus. My prayer is that others would be able to experience what I have, which is ultimately the love of Jesus. He is the ONLY source that can provide everything we are searching for and everything that we lack. He is the one who has healed, restored and transformed my life and has used this ministry to be a part of that!

Q: What is something the Lord is teaching you now?

A: Something God has been growing me in is “waiting”. The wait is hard and sometimes the weight of the wait can feel like it is crushing me with disappointments and trials, seeing nothing change. God has been reminding me of Abraham and Sarah (Genesis 17), Noah and the Ark (Hebrews 11) and Joseph going from prison to a palace (Genesis 37). God has shown me that it is the midst of the wait that I lean into Him and find Him the most! I am learning to surrender my expectations in the “wait”, not relying on what the circumstances surrounding it look like but trusting God through it all. God reminded me that He is working more so inside of me during the “wait” than what I am waiting for! I rather have God doing a greater work inside of me during the wait than working on it.

Are You at a Moment?

This is for those of you who are at a “moment.” It’s almost a crossroads; you know this moment is significant. You know that in this moment, God has put you in a position to act. You know what God wants you to do, but your intellect is almost telling you to do something else. I just want to encourage you that there have been instances where I know that God has brought me to a particular place at a particular time to do a very particular thing.

What we don’t want to do is doubt. We don’t want to fall by our fear. We don’t want to not trust God. What we need to do is step into that moment in faith, knowing the reality of what could happen could be bad, but supernaturally it could change peoples’ lives!

In Isaiah, the Lord looks down and Isaiah hears the Lord talking, “Who will go? Who shall I send?” Isaiah, the great prophet, replies, “Here I am, send me.” His mindset was not on what could happen, it was on what God was saying! He faced a moment where he knew that stepping forward in faith would be hard, it would be scary. He also knew that stepping back would give him a faithless life. His response to the Lord was, “Here I am, send me.”

Rahab had a moment where she could have chosen to self-preserve and self-protect. She was faced with a moment, and she stepped forward in faith! Gideon had a moment where the Lord came to him and said, “I want to use you to fight the Midianites!” Gideon could have said, “No,” but he stepped into the moment in faith. God defeated the Midianites with 300 men.

Are you facing a moment? I want to be your cheerleader here; I know what it feels like, because I am living a moment. You do what God says! You forge forward in faith even though you don’t know how it’s going to turn out! Seize that moment! Speak up; use your voice for Kingdom impact! Don’t let that fear seize you. You let God do what He is good at. He is good at being God! You put your full trust in Him! You will see what He will do! Own your moment. Step into your moment.

I love you guys and hope this encourages you today!

Lysa TerKeurst

“What do you do when God’s timing seems questionable, His lack of intervention hurtful, and His promises doubtful?” Our special guest, Lysa TerKeurst, has discovered that our hurts can divinely lead us to radically experience our God. Lysa shares her heart and story behind her latest book, “It’s Not Supposed To Be This Way.” Click the link to listen as we dive deep into the Word of God and discuss what we do when we find ourselves saying, “It’s not supposed to be this way.” Thank you for choosing to listen to the Autumn Miles’ Ministries’ podcast; whether you’re in the pick-up line, on the way to a vacation, or at your desk in the office, we are honored to share the love of Christ with you! Sandy Patti

We were also ecstatic to host the incredible Sandi Patty this month on our radio show! Sandi just released her book The Voice: Listening for God’s Voice and Finding Your Own in September of 2018. This culturally-relevant book describes how we are able to speak up and speak out, dealing with conflict graciously and dealing with finding your own voice. Sandi desires to walk readers through feeling like they don’t have a voice, having an awkward voice, remaining silent, and confidently finding God’s voice. With a past filled with feelings of unworthiness, Sandi beautifully captures how amazing things happen when you put the Truth of God in you; the lies that have been spoken over you must flee. She reminds us to pray that God goes before you and guides you in what you’re supposed to say and when. Listen to this podcast and be encouraged!

January Newsletter

A Note from My Quiet Time

Hey, Hey!
I want to take a minute to say thank you. Each of you have faithfully supported what we do here at Autumn Miles ministries. We proclaim Bold Truth and Raw Faith because of you! Our mission to spiritually challenge the way people think has been one that we have fought for now for eight years. Each year God has allowed us to inhabit a larger piece of our promise land. Little by little our ministry has grown and we have seen God do the miraculous.
As we look at 2018 with eyes of promise and great vision, I want to take this special opportunity to thank God for what He has done for us in 2017. Our team began 2017 with a very special word from the Lord to crown our year, that word was clear, “the rain is coming.”
This word was taken directly out of 1 Kings 18:41 when Elijah says, “for there is the roar of a heavy shower.” The rain came for Elijah and in the way only God can, the rain came for us.
In 2016 we were amazed when the analytics came in that we reached approximately 18 million people for the year. We sat shocked in December of 2016 thinking to ourselves “Wow, God, you have done wonders amongst us without us even knowing”. In January of 2017, when God spoke so clearly to me, “the rain is coming.” I began to prepare myself and our team for the rain. Knowing that God, once again, would do wonders amongst us.
In February of 2017 God allowed me a partnership with Lifeway to do a study with pastors on Domestic Violence and the church. This study was a huge success and we were able to share with the world through media the need for the churches to put a plan in place to protect domestic violence victims. In June of 2017 it was clear that God was calling us to operate under a new identity. We had the same vision, but a different name. Autumn Miles Ministries officially became our new identity. In July, God allowed us the opportunity to do a daily show on the Word 100.7FM in Dallas, Texas which is the 5th largest radio market in the country. The show took off in the 3:30pm time slot and has given way to many live shows and remote shows which have proven to be very successful. In July, I was also given the opportunity to partner with Faithwire and write Christian oped’s for them once a week. And perhaps the biggest victory of all of 2017 was signing a book deal with Worthy publishing to publish my second book, “I am Rahab.” While all of the above new opportunities were taking place, we were also continuing business as usual having monthly society meetings all across the country, keeping our social media presence strong as well as offering my voice to other media outlets. When all was said and done, in December we were able to measure through different analytical programs our reach for 2017. The results made us all speechless and, quite frankly, caught us off guard.
In 2017 our estimated reach was 37.5 million people.
WOW, GOD, WOW!!!!
This number includes 2,484,042 video views on facebook.
It also includes 6,480,000 listeners for the daily radio show.
These numbers coupled with social media numbers, podcast numbers and other media outlets, pushed us to 37.5 million.
When I shared these with our team, we all sat silent. The rain most definitely came and poured on us. These numbers had doubled since 2016. We all praised the Lord for what He had done. He is truly the God of miracles.

We look to 2018 with eyes of hope, asking, begging, believing God to do even more amongst us. Thank you for being a part and supporting us. You have no idea what it means to us. Please pray for us this year as God continues to work through us!

How God is Working

From its relaunch in September to finishing the year of 2017, our team has had the privilege of watching God grow Dallas Society. We are always excited to see God grow the number of attendees each month, but the true growth we are most excited to witness is in those who attend. Many of the women who attend Dallas Society come in with walls up and a little guarded, not wanting to really share their brokenness, hurt, or trial. Our team has the privilege of watching God knockdown these walls and grow each individual personally. We see God growing these women in courage as they share their vulnerabilities with everyone, in healing from the pain or guilt they carried around for so long, and watching their relationship with God grow each month. Our team absolutely loves watching God grow the friendships that take place throughout Society. We love seeing the women come back each month chatting away with someone, laughing, hugging and exchanging phone numbers throughout the evening. We are filled with anticipation and excitement for Dallas Society and those who attend as we believe God is going to continue to grow us this individually this next year!
