He will Confirm

Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”
“They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.  He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”
Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her. // John 11-18
When we look at this scripture we are looking after Jesus’ death, and now resurrection.
Mary was such a faithful servant to the Lord. She loved him, and trusted in him fully. When Jesus saw Mary, He gave her a word. He told Mary to go and tell the disciples that He had risen.
Can you imagine that? Can you imagining having to be the person to go and tell everyone that the man they all witnessed die, 3 days ago, was now alive. He Is Risen.
We can only imagine, how crazy the disciples thought this was.
Jesus tells her “Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am returning to my Father and your  Father, to my God and your God.'” ((20:17))
So Mary hurries back to the city where the disciples are, with excitement, to tell the wonderful news!
“Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: ‘I have seen the  Lord!’ And she told them that he had said these things to her.” (20:18)
Mark tells us of their reaction.
“He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven  demons.  She went and told those who had been with him and who were  mourning and weeping. When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had  seen him, they did not believe it.” (Mark 16:9b-11)
They did not believe it. The people who walked with Jesus on this earth, witnessed his miracles, and did not believe Mary. I believer Mary new how crazy it seemed that Jesus had risen. However she knew what she had been told, and she knew she had seen Jesus.
“ When God gives me a word it is hard to stop me from saying something about it  “ // Autumn Miles
When God gives you a plan do you feel like you need to tell someone? Mary came announcing PROUDLY that she had seen the Lord. She had no shame in telling people that Her king was alive. The disciples refused to believe it at the time. However, several days later Jesus showed himself to the disciples and confirmed the word Mary had given them. When God gives you a promise and you go in and announce it proudly, and the response is doubt, STAND FIRM. Just like he confirmed his appearance to Mary He will confirm his Promise to you. Stand on the word. Come in announcing proudly.
What is God telling you today that you need to announce proudly? Lets not allow fear of doubt from others stop us. Stand firm. God will confirm His promise to you!!
